Construction products and factory production control: certification under regulations introduced on 1 July 2013
The Construction Products Directive (89/106 CPD) specifying the conditions for marketing construction products was replaced on 1 July 2013 by Construction Product Regulation 305/2011/EU (CPR). The joint Ministerial Decree 3/20003 BM-GKM-KvvM governing the design and installation of construction products in structures was replaced on 19 July 2013 by Government Decree 275/2013. (VII.16.).
Under the new regulations, a performance certification procedure resulting in a declaration of performance is required forconstruction products to be marketed within the European Union, replacing the old type approval procedure. For products covered by a harmonized standard published on the European Union website or by European Technical Approval, the performance certification procedure entitles the manufacturer to apply the CE mark.
ÉMI-TÜV SÜD Kft. is a Notified Body for concrete and reinforced concrete products and masonry, and assesses and inspects constancy of performance of construction products (System 1) and certifies factory production control (System 2+).
- Factory production control basic inspection and certification under Construction Products Regulation 305/2011/EU (CPR) and relevant harmonized standards
- The inspection covers the basic documentation of the production control system, the product’s first type-testing documentation and – during the on-site site inspection – conformity of production with the regulation. If the result is satisfactory, we issue a Certificate of Constancy of Performance (System 1) or a Certificate of Conformity of Factory Production Control (System 2). Having received this document, the manufacturer may issue a declaration of performance under the CPR and is entitled to apply the CE mark to the product.
