Certification of construction products according to the applicable Council Directive 89/106/EEC and BM-GKM-KvVM Decree No. 3/2003 of 25 January 2003. ÉMI-TÜV SÜD Ltd. was granted accreditation in 2008 for the testing, conformity attestation and certification of construction products specifically for pre-cast concrete, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, lightweight concrete, masonry blocks and other related products. |  |
There are many preconditions to obtaining a certificate of conformity and placing CE marking on a product. On one hand manufacturers are responsible for the attestation that products are in total conformity with the corresponding product-specific safety and technical requirements and specifications of the Construction Product Directive; on the other hand, being operators of series production, they also have to prove that they are capable of maintaining the required quality of the products in case of continuous factory production.
An approved certification (notified) body has to assess and monitor factory production of the manufacturer – according to their agreement, but in periodic intervals – in order to assess and judge whether the approved and certified factory production conditions are still being maintained.
If a product falls under the jurisdiction of harmonized standards or other technical specifications, or rules accepted at European level, testing of conformity with the requirements of the Construction Product Directive can be easily carried out by reference to the relevant essential requirements and the interpretative documents.
Our Company performs inspections according to the EU CPD Directive No. 89/106/EEC and under the provisions of the associated documents: method (2) and (2+) specified in the Joint BM-GKM-KvVM Decree No. 3/2003 of 25 January 2003 on the Marketing of Building and Construction Products, in line with the Quality Management Manual according to the ÉMI-TÜV MSZ EN ISO/EC 17020:2005 standard.

Initial inspection of factory and factory production control, continuous surveillance, judgement, assessment and certification of factory production control according to the regulations of Directive 89/106/EEC and BM-GKM-KvVM Decree No. 3/2003 of 25 January 2003.
The inspection includes checking the basic documentation of the production control system, checking the first type-testing documents of the product, and verifying production according to the manufacturer's regulations during on-site inspections. The results of the inspection are used to issue a certificate confirming that the manufacturer is entitled to use the CE marking.
