ÉMI-TÜV SÜD Ltd. is a joint venture company formed out of the Hungarian staat company for Quality Control and Innovation in Construction (ÉMI Kht.) and the German TÜV SÜD AG. Its primary mission is to perform inspections, and to issue expert reports and certificates with the involvement of laboratories accredited both in Hungary and abroad.

With its staff consisting of more than 14.000 professionals, and a network of over 600 affiliates on five continents. TÜV SÜD Group one one of the oldest and largest association of experts in the world, while ÉMI Kht. is a recognized centre of excellence for the construction industry in Hungary.

Over the time span of 19 years with a professional background of high-level expertise and well-equipped, state-of-the art laboratories, as many as 155 employees of the ÉMI-TÜV SÜD Ltd. have supported their partners by providing them best-tailored solutions. Our experienced professionals perform tests and issue expert opinion in laboratories accredited according to MSZ EN ISO/IEC 17025, as well as carry out accredited certification activity according to MSZ EN 45011.   

Since the accession of Hungary to the European Union, ÉMI-TÜV SÜD is a Notified Body registered in Brüssels under the number 1417 for five major professionals fields:

  1. Constructuion Products Directive
  2. Lifts Directive
  3. Machinery Directive
  4. Pressure Equipment Directive
  5. Simple Pressure Vessels Directive

The fact that ÉMI-TÜV Ltd. is member of the international organisation of CEOC  (European Confederation of Control, Inspection and Prevention Organisations) provides further assurance and presents us to our partners as an organisation with ideal  international connections, which offers EU-conform services to its customers in the following areas:

  1. suitability assesment and evaluation of pressure vessels, boilers, industrial pipelines, pressurised systems, gas cylinders; qualification of welding and brazing technologies; licensing of welders and brazers; fitness for operation certification for manufactures of welded structures
  2. testing, examination and certification of playground equipment and devices
  3. testing and certification of conformity of equipment used in the entertainment industry
