| The marketing and manufacturing of air heating equipment operating with solid fuel – including fireplaces, fireplace inserts, ovens and stoves – is subject to a certification of compliance procedure in Hungary and in the European Union. The goal of the the Directive 89/106/EGK and BM-GKM-KvVM Decree No. 3/2003. (I. 25.) is to guarantee the safe operation of the products, which is a fundamental expectation of the customers. |
TÜV SÜD as a neutral, objective organisation has been entitled to conduct certification of compliance procedures for air heating equipment. Following a successful procedure, the certified product is entitled to display the CE mark necessary for selling in the EU and also gains the possibility to use the octagonal certification logo which, as a well known marketing tool around Europe, increases the prestige of the product and its international appreciation.
